Jordan English Gross is a digital and social media entrepreneur who specializes in digital business strategy and marketing communications. His solutions have garnered him numerous awards including the 2003 National ADDY for Interactive Communication. He’s a guest speaker at various technology, advertising, social, and entrepreneurial conferences and events. He has been a contributing author for ADWEEK, Adotas, and Mashable and has appeared on The Wall Street Journal Radio as well as various other media outlets. In addition, he serves as a director and advisor to various technology and media companies in New York and San Francisco.
Most recently Jordan co-founded the media and entertainment company, New Brave World, that specializes in transformational technologies and their impact on consumer lifestyles. New Brave World connects forward thinking brand marketers with the next generation of media and technology while helping the best entrepreneurs understand how to build and scale their products and services. The company also provides debt based financing.
In 2007, Jordan founded a technology enterprise called Dorthy.com and Saber Seven, Inc., which he quickly grew to have dozens of employees and over 200 collaborators. In the beginning of 2010, Jordan led the launch of the company’s first consumer search product of which The New York Times said, “could quickly surpass those found on the first page of a Google search”. Jordan has raised over $5 millions dollars in private funds for the enterprise and recently secured a venture backed term sheet for $2 million dollars. He has been responsible for product design, revenue, strategic alliances, and all client and community facing services.
Prior to Dorthy.com and Saber Seven Jordan founded TLM Agency – a creative strategy boutique that specializes in ideas, products, technologies, and brands. Using a $50,000 retainer and borrowed office he quickly built the company to lead creative and online strategy for blue chip fortune 300 companies, national retailers and not-for-profit organizations.
Jordan is a big idea creative technologist whose long-term interests lie in the overlap of technology, communication, and business. He is the recipient of the Triple Ruby and has received various other distinctions from the American Advertising Association, The American Institute of Graphic Arts, and the Print and Image Association of America. He is also the youngest creative director ever to receive the Nation Addy for Interactive Communication. His most recent work has been covered by sources like The New York Times, Venture Beat, The New Yorker, Paid Content, Dow Jones News, Rolling Stone, Spin, MTV, VH1, and the Harvard Business Review.
Jordan has visited over 17 countries and dedicates his free time to raising awareness about the need for accessibility and knowledge in third world communities. He has created documentary pieces in the Kalahari Desert and the Darien Rainforest.
Jordan currently resides in New York City with his Jack Russell, Diesel.
